Be a Champion for Children!
Get involved in the community and support the work of the Children’s Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County (CAC). Register as an individual, team or simply donate to the cause. Your donation helps us provide healing therapy, free of charge, to children who have suffered physical and sexual abuse.
5K race open to all ages- USATF Certified Course
$30 donation for Adults (18+)
$20 donation for Teens (13-17 years old)
$5 donation for Children (12 years and younger)
*Registered participants receive a tech t-shirt and swag bag*
Registration Details
Online Registration Open Until Thursday, June 20th at 6:00pm
Pre-race Packet Pick-up @ CAC | Friday, June 21st | 8:00am-6:00pm
Day of Registration & Packet Pick-up begins at 6:30am
Race Day Schedule
6:30am - Registration & Packet Pickup Open
7:50am - Opening Ceremony
8:00am - Race Starts
Other Details
- Family friendly activities will be available before and after the race!
- First 200 registrants are guaranteed a tech t-shirt and swag bag
- No dogs allowed on the course
- Strollers welcome, but must start near the back
Consider Fundraising
When you register you will recieve a fundraising page. You are not required to fundraise, but every dollar helps us reach our fundraising goal, so please consider our request.
Raise $250.00 by June 15th and you'll receive a CAC Tumbler at packet pickup!

Inclement Weather Policy
- The safety of our athletes and volunteers is our primary concern.
- In the event of inclement weather:
- Rain - the event will NOT be cancelled due to rain alone.
- Lightning - If lightning is seen or thunder is heard, the event will be postponed for a minimum of 20 minutes until no signs of the storm are present. Participants should seek shelter in their vehicles or inside the Children’s Advocacy Center. If lightning continues 20 minutes after the scheduled event start, the race will be subject to cancellation.
- Tornado Warning - The race will be canceled in the event of a tornado warning.
- No refunds will be given due to inclement weather.
